Sean McVay shuts down any Myles Garrett injury concern despite missed practices
The Los Angeles Rams received an early scare involving Myles Garrett. After a fast Rams start during NFL Training Camp, the all-pro edge rusher is now hobbled with a back injury. However, head coach Sean McVay shut down those rising concerns Sunday.
McVay shared via Rams insider for ESPN Sarah Barshop that Garrett’s ailment is a non-issue.
“Sean McVay said Myles Garrett has some soreness in his lower half, but it’s ‘nothing to worry about.’ Barshop posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.
Barshop adds how Garrett is likely to sit out Monday’s session at Loyola Marymount University. Meaning he’ll likely earn a veteran rest day. But McVay adds Garrett will be expected to return for the next practice block.
Garrett is already turning heads in front of teammates and fans attending camp at LMU. He’s already showing to become a favorite inside the locker room and among Rams fans.
But he’s not the only defender grabbing attention during Rams camp. Currently retired Rams star Aaron Donald is generating buzz too. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year continues to fuel comeback rumors. Garrett himself has help hint at Donald attempting a comeback. Even McVay delivered some facial expressions that indicated that Donald will indeed be back soon.

McVay additionally added how Donald’s return is “trending upward.” Although the head coach believes that Donald won’t join the team at camp should he make his return.
Los Angeles has two more open practices set for Wednesday and Thursday.
