Michael B. Jordan’s Creed spin-off series get imminent filming update
A direct spin-off itself, one of Michael B. Jordan’s most successful franchises, Creed has now received a major filming update on one of its own spin-offs. A direct spin-off of the Rocky film series, Creed’s 1st part was released in 2015 and became a major hit.
Over a decade and three films later, Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler revealed the Creed universe’s next chapter during Amazon’s upfront presentation. Jordan and Coogler shared that the upcoming spin-off will take the audience all the way back to the beginning of the franchise. The reveal was made at Amazon‘s upfront presentation to advertisers on Monday, May. 11, 2026, at the Beacon Theatre in New York.
Toward the closing moments of the event, Jordan shared details about several of his upcoming production projects for Prime Video. The list includes Muhammad Ali’s biographical series, The Greats, Creed spinoff Delphi, and Fourth Wing. Jordan and Coogler have collaborated multiple times on different projects and are again set to do it with Creed’s spin-off, Delphi. It is set to enter production in Los Angeles on May. 18, 2026.
The series focuses on young boxers training their skills at the Delphi gym, featured in the Rocky and Creed films. Originally established by Tony “Duke” Evers, the Delphi Boxing Academy in Los Angeles was the consistent training location for Apollo Creed. The spin-off will see, Tony “Little Duke” Evers in charge of the gym where Adonis Johnson Creed trains.
Delphi will stream exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. While the studio has not yet announced a premiere date or cast, it has already secured a second season for itself.
