Jason Cundy stuns talkSPORT hosts as he storms into studio before making huge Chelsea statement

Jason Cundy is back from his holiday, and he’s come steaming in to tell the world that the Premier League title is Chelsea’s this season.

The huge Chelsea fan and former player has been away from talkSPORT Towers since the World Cup, but his first appearance back hosting The Sports Bar saw him go out on a limb.

He’s backing his beloved Blues to end their ten-year wait for a title, citing a ‘cheat code’ that they have on their rivals.

Cundy backs Chelsea to win Premier League

“I’m going to make a statement now. There is no reason why Chelsea cannot win this title. In fact, I’m going to say it. Chelsea will win the title,” Cundy said on Monday.

“There is something about Chelsea. We have got a cheat code. I’m not proud of it but we can win the title for a number of reasons.

“Have you seen our front three? Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer – Palmer’s had a rest, Joao Pedro’s had a rest.

“Our midfield, the recruitment at the back. It almost certainly looks like we could be playing three at the back with someone in Xabi Alonso who knows how to win a title.

“One game a week, we saw how beneficial that could be when Antonio Conte came in, went to three at the back. Win the title.

“History is going to repeat itself. I never go out on a limb when I talk about Chelsea but I said Arsenal will win it for the last three seasons and eventually they did.

“Gooners, you should be fearful of Chelsea. Yes, you’re favourites, I get it. You’ve got an unbelievable team.

“But I’ve got to tell you there’s a cheat code and that’s Chelsea playing one game a week and a manager in Xabi Alonso who knows how to win a title.

“There are only two managers in this league that have won a title – Xabi Alonso and Mikel Arteta. Liverpool, new manager. Andoni Iraola doesn’t know how to win a title.

Cundy admitted he still has reservations about Robert Sanchez still being Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper, before putting those worries to one side and bellowing: “CHELSEA win the Premier League title.”

The Blues have bought well and spent a lot of money, with Morgan Rogers the standout recruit following his British record transfer from Aston Villa to add another attacking option.

Veteran Premier League stars Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson bring experience, while the defence is being bolstered as well.

Marco Palestra and Maxence Lacroix have both made the move to west London.

Full-back Palestra made the £47million move from Atalanta, while Lacroix will offer proven quality following his arrival from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £52million.

Cundy unveils new look

Earlier in the evening, Cundy made an appearance on Transfer Insiders, where he copped a dig from hosts Flex and Abbi Summer for being away for so long.

And that prompted Cundy to storm into the studio and take a seat, although it was his transformation with his barnet following a hair transplant that blew Summers and Flex away.

As he walked in, Flex said: “Who is this? It’s a new man. You look incredible. I am being deadly serious

And Cundy responded: “It’s nuts, isn’t it. It’s got body and a little lift.”
