Knicks’ Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart still can’t admit they’re besties amid NBA Finals celebration

The New York Knicks are on their NBA Finals celebration run, and it looks like all the players are enjoying the moment. In their latest media appearance, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges spoke with Jenna Bush Hager, and she tried to break some news that people already knew about.

Bush Hager asked Brunson and Hart to finally admit that they were best friends, and it went exactly the way that you would expect.

“Well, you always have, like, work best friends. You go to school, and you have a friend there, and when he’s not there, you’re like, ‘Dang, where is he at?’ But when you go home, you don’t think about him,” Hart said.

“Now that you’re champions, can y’all finally admit you’re besties?”

Josh Hart: “Well, you always have like work best friends."

Jalen Brunson: "I was ready to admit it, but after hearing that. I'm good."

It was then Brunson’s chance to admit the truth, but he wouldn’t even bite.

“I was ready to admit it, but after hearing that. I’m good,” Brunson said.

Brunson and Hart have a hilarious friendship, which is probably why they work so well on the court. It makes it even better to see that they’ve been able to win a championship at the college level together, as well as the NBA level.

The two have joked with each other throughout the season, and they even have a podcast together. If anything, they might be the best of friends in the entire league.

“I thought he was an entitled, privileged five-star recruit, [and] I wasn’t really a fan,” Hart said about his first impression of Brunson. “It’s kind of the same now. People think that I’m the childish one, but he is like the annoying friend… He is probably the most annoying person I know behind the cameras.”

Maybe one day they’ll admit to the world that they’re best friends, but as of now, it looks like they’d rather keep it low and keep winning basketball games together. Unfortunately for them, everybody knows the truth.
