Curtis Jones calmed down by Liverpool teammate after furious row with Dominik Szoboszlai in unseen footage
Tempers flared between Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai following Liverpool’s latest pre-season friendly.
The Reds clinched a 1-0 win over Wrexham as part of their USA tour on Wednesday night.

Andoni Iraola’s side saw off their Championship opponents at Yankee Stadium in New York City thanks to Rio Ngumoha’s deflected second-half strike.
However, their victory has been somewhat overshadowed by an apparent row involving Jones and Szoboszlai.
Teammates clash
New footage has since emerged of the pair clashing on the pitch at full time.
Their back-and-forth exchange eventually came to an end after teammates and coaching staff stepped in.
The video, which was filmed from the crowd at Yankee Stadium, shows an animated exchange between the pair.
After Jones had embraced Iraola, he could be seen trading words with Szoboszlai as he walked past his teammate.
Visibly agitated by Jones’ reaction, the Hungary international turned back to continue their back-and-forth.
The tense exchange continued for around two minutes with both players waving their arms and pointing across the pitch.
They even pointed their fingers into each others’ chests as tempers threatened to boil over.
Fellow Liverpool stars Kostas Tsimikas and Jeremie Frimpong eventually approached to attempt to cool the pair down.

Although Jones was initially guided away by Frimpong, he continued to gesticulate before walking back towards Szoboszlai.
A member of the Liverpool coaching team then stepped in to speak to Szoboszlai.
Jones had been a second half substitute for Liverpool against Wrexham, having been introduced at half-time.
Meanwhile, Szoboszlai started as captain, playing a total of 76 minutes before replaced, with 30 of those alongside Jones.
The pair have also made 97 competitive appearances alongside each other for the Reds since Szoboszlai joined the club in 2023.
Liverpool will face Leeds United in Chicago on Sunday in the final match of their pre-season tour of the USA.

They are then scheduled to take on both Monaco and Como at Anfield prior to the start of the new Premier League season.
Jones’ future
The incident comes amid speculation surrounding Jones’ Liverpool future.
He has been the subject of growing interest throughout the summer, namely from Italian giants Inter Milan.
The Serie A champions have seen two approaches rejected since the end of last season.
Liverpool will not allow Jones to leave the club unless their £34million valuation is met, talkSPORT understands.
Jones has entered the final 12 months of his current contract, which expires next summer.
