Ravens sign ex-Michigan star who played for Jesse Minter as Danny Pinter hits IR

The Baltimore Ravens are entering a new era under Jesse Minter in 2026. Baltimore has seemingly adjusted well to their new coaching staff at this point in the preseason. The Ravens will be put to the test after losing one crucial offensive player for the season. But his replacement creates a silver lining on the defensive side of the ball.

Ravens center Danny Pinter suffered a torn patella tendon during Tuesday’s joint practice with the Vikings, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

As a result, Baltimore placed Pinter on injured reserve, ending his 2026 season before it even began.

In a corresponding move, Baltimore signed former Michigan linebacker Michael Barrett, per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. He played under Minter at Michigan during the team’s national title run in 2023.

More on this story to come.
