Mabrey is dealing with a hamstring injury following the team’s loss to the Indiana Fever in which she scored 22 points in 29 minutes. Given that Marina Mabrey is officially listed as doubtful on the Tempo injury report, the likely assumption is that she is not going to be suiting up to play. Things can always change between publication and tip-off, but all signs point towards Mabrey being ruled out.

The former second-round pick is in the midst of a career year, her first with the Tempo in their inaugural season and having been selected as an All-Star for the first time.

She’s appeared in 32 of the Tempo’s 35 games thus far, at a little over 29 minutes per game. She’s been averaging a career-best 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists with splits of 44.1 percent shooting from the field, 38.5 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 88.1 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

The former Notre Dame star is in her eighth season in the WNBA after having begun her career with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2019. Mabrey has also played for the Dallas Wings, Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun before signing a two-year max contract with the Tempo this past offseason.
