Patriots’ Mike Vrabel getting creative with Gabe Jacas, and it showed vs. Eagles

Jacas responded immediately, stating that Vrabel’s demanding coaching style enhances his technique, hand usage, and power. This tough coaching paid off during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles, where Jacas dominated by winning both 1-on-1 matchups against Philadelphia’s offensive linemen and recording two would-be sacks during team periods.

With Harold Landry III on the PUP list, Jacas is positioning himself for a crucial rotational role alongside Dre’Mont Jones and Elijah Ponder.

However, medical concerns remain a significant issue for Gabe. According to the Boston Globe, sports medical experts, including Dr. David Chao, expressed long-term worries regarding a “large osteochondral defect” in Jacas’ left knee. Dr. Chao compared this joint condition to Jadeveon Clowney’s chronic knee complications, noting that cartilage issues pose a serious threat to long-term durability and that securing a second contract would be a major achievement for Jacas.
