Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence’s hilarious reaction to Browns-Rams Myles Garrett trade

The Los Angeles Rams turned the NFL on its head after trading for Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns. While many have hyped L.A. for making the deal, Trevor Lawrence, on the other hand, is seemingly okay with Cleveland making that deal.

During an interview with NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback hilariously admitted he was not mad about seeing Garrett leave for the Rams, considering he has to face the Browns in Week 1. Lawrence is happy that he just doesn’t have to face off against the two-time Defensive Player of the Year to begin the new season.

“I mean, I wasn’t too upset about that one,” Lawrence said about Garrett being traded to Los Angeles. “Especially starting the season Week 1. Yeah, that wasn’t the worst news. Obviously, Jared Verse is a great player. It’s not like [the Browns] don’t have someone that can rush the passer now. But I mean Myles Garrett, so dominant. So much respect for him. I’ve played against him a lot of times.”

The 26-year-old quarterback won’t have to play against Garrett at all this season. If he does, then it would have to be in the Super Bowl. Lawrence can feel at ease knowing that he won’t have to take on the league’s best pass rusher throughout the regular season.

With no fear of facing Myles Garrett, the former No. 1 pick will have a chance to put up career numbers in his sixth year in the NFL. Lawrence ended the 2025-26 campaign with 4,007 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 60.9% of his pass attempts.
