The Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns will fight to stay alive as they clash in a do-or-die game in the Play-In Tournament at Mortgage Matchup Center on Friday.

The Warriors are coming off a come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday to give them another chance at claiming the last seat in the playoffs in the Western Conference.

Kristaps Porzingis stepped up for Golden State versus Los Angeles. But the question is, will he suit up against Phoenix?

Kristaps Porzingis’ injury status vs. Suns

Porzingis was listed as questionable versus the Suns due to an ankle injury, according to the NBA’s injury report.

The oft-injured center sustained it in the second half against the Clippers. Although he was able to finish the game, it was evident that he was hobbling.

He finished with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, five rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. He was instrumental in the Warriors’ fiery surge in the fourth quarter, along with Stephen Curry and Al Horford, hitting critical shots from three-point range.

The Warriors are a different beast when Porzingis is on the floor, giving the team another lethal weapon on offense, while also serving as a rim protector on the other end.

Even before the postseason, Curry stressed that the 30-year-old Porzingis could be a game-changer for Golden State with his size and versatility.

If he cannot suit up against the Suns, Horford, Draymond Green, and Gui Santos will need to put up an extra effort. Luckily for them, the Suns do not have an imposing frontline.
