Is Anthony Edwards playing tonight? Timberwolves vs. Spurs 2026 NBA Playoffs Game 3 injury report
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards did not hide his displeasure after they were blown out by 38 points by the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of their second-round series at Frost Bank Center on Wednesday.
It was the Timberwolves’ most lopsided loss ever in the playoffs, as the Spurs tied the best-of-seven showdown.
Edwards cited his mother’s favorite saying when asked about their performance, which saw them trail the Spurs by as much as 47 points.
The four-time All-Star is still dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee ahead of Game 3 at Target Center on Friday.

Edwards was listed as questionable for Game 3, according to the NBA’s injury report.
The 24-year-old fireball came off the bench in the first two games, as coach Chris Finch has taken extra caution with his playing time, even though the Timberwolves are already depleted without Donte DiVincenzo and Ayo Dosunmu.
Edwards scored 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting in 24 minutes in Game 2. He also had four turnovers. In their win in Game 1, he had 18 points, three rebounds, and three assists in 25 minutes.
Fans have urged Finch, who called out his players after Game 2, to reinsert Edwards in the starting lineup.
Edwards said he expects a raucous crowd in Game 3, urging their fans to show up, get loud, and fuel the team. Minnesota won 26 games at Target Center in the regular season.
