“Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hamstring) is ‘feeling a little better today,’ says Blue Jays manager John Schneider. ‘There’s no injury there. It’s just a little bit of tightness still. So, we’ll see how he is today,'” Schneider said.

Guerrero is not in Thursday’s lineup. Schneider said there is no injury, so the Blue Jays are monitoring Guerrero’s hamstring tightness. Schneider’s comments suggest the issue is not too serious, but the ball club will still proceed with caution.

Guerrero has endured a difficult season. While he was voted into the All-Star game, the first baseman has not performed up to his expectations. The 27-year-old is hitting just .259/.338/.349 across 108 games. His .687 OPS is the worst mark of his career while he only has six home runs at the moment.

Despite his struggles, the Blue Jays still obviously want him in the lineup. He is a six-time All-Star who is one of the best first baseman in baseball when he is on top of his game.
