Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb is a genius innovator with new training camp drill

The Dallas Cowboys are just over one month away from kicking off the 2026 NFL season, currently taking part in training camp as they prepare. The Cowboys are hoping to once again have one of the most explosive offenses in the league this year after largely dominating the competition in that area a season ago.

Recently, video was unearthed from training camp by Patrik Walker of the Cowboys showing wide receiver CeeDee Lamb running through drills with a net over his face, seemingly to mimic some of the poor visibility conditions that he might encounter on the field this season.

Lamb has emerged as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL throughout his career, constantly drawing double teams to help free up space for some of Dallas’ other wideouts.

Last year, when he was healthy, Lamb and George Pickens formed one of the top wide receiver duos in the NFL, constantly torching opposing defensive backfields and helping quarterback Dak Prescott put together the best season of his career, one that would have garnered him some legit MVP conversation had the team’s record been better.

Unfortunately, the Cowboys’ defense was just as putrid as the offense was impressive last year, although the team did make considerable strides in that department this offseason, including selecting Caleb Downs with their top pick in April’s NFL Draft.

If Lamb can stay a bit healthier than he was able to last year, Dallas should once again have one of the game’s top offenses, and the hope is that this year, the defense will be along for the ride.

The Cowboys are slated to kick off their new season on September 13 on the road vs the New York Giants.
