Dodgers manager Dave Roberts shares crucial Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow injury updates

The Los Angeles Dodgers already have one of the most potent rotations in the majors. The Dodgers also added Kris Bubic and Tarik Skubal before the MLB Trade Deadline.

Now, the Dodgers may be getting two pitchers back soon, according to an update from manager Dave Roberts, per Sonja Chen of MLB.com.

“More updates, per Dave Roberts: While Blake Snell didn’t get into the 5th inning last night, he did enough that his next start should be for the Dodgers. Once Tyler Glasnow makes two more rehab starts and builds up to 4 innings, there’ll be a conversation about activating him,” Chen posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Snell has made just one start for the Dodgers this year. He went three innings in a start against the Atlanta Braves on May 9, giving up six hits, five runs, with four earned runs. It was found that he has loose bodies in his left elbow, which required a procedure in mid-May.

Meanwhile, Glasnow has made seven starts with the Dodgers this year. He was 3-0 with a 2.72 ERA. The last time he took to the mound was on May 6 against the Houston Astros. He went just one inning in the game, giving up a solo home run, but the Dodgers went on to win the game 12-2. Glasnow was placed on the IL due to lower back spasms. Glasnow just completed his first minor league rehab start, allowing just one hit in two innings on 16 pitches.

The Dodgers are currently 69-45 on the year, which places them in first in the NL West and with the second-best record in the National League. They look to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday afternoon.
