Meanwhile, a live update from The New York Times revealed that Robinson and Gibbs continue to communicate regularly amid their respective situations. Gibbs welcomed the comparisons between the two elite 2023 draft picks, stating, “We talk a lot. We’re in the same conversation. The Bijan-Gibbs debate is actually cool to see. It helps us both out, and we are always trying to compete against each other.”

As contract talks progress, questions remain about Gibbs’ practice availability. After stepping off the field recently, Gibbs addressed reporters with a cryptic “only time will tell” regarding his return to drills, as reported by Colton Pouncy of The Athletic. When asked if a new contract was a prerequisite for practicing, Gibbs replied, “Nah, it’s not about that,” leaving room for speculation.
