Could WWE WrestleMania really come to England? Cody Rhodes wants to make it happen

For years, fans have wanted to see WWE take WrestleMania to London, England, and the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes wants to see it happen before he retires.

During a recent live event, Rhodes addressed the England crowd. He claimed that he would like to bring WrestleMania to England within the next five years. Of course, WWE has brought several PLEs to the UK, but not WrestleMania, its biggest event of the year.

“We talked a lot about the big PLEs, and we talked a lot about, of course, WrestleMania,” Rhodes said of an interview he did right before his match. “There’s a lot of places that WrestleMania’s supposed to go, but say — I’m not trying to give anything away — I’m here for maybe five more years, sounds like a good number, right? In the next five years that I’m here, we have to do a WrestleMania in England.

“So, don’t lose the faith, because there are many who think like me,” he continued.

Will Cody Rhodes bring WWE WrestleMania to London, England?

WrestleMania 43 has already been penciled in for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time WWE is bringing the PLE outside of North America. Indianapolis, Indiana, and New Orleans, Louisiana, are also due for a future iterations of the event. Nashville, Tennessee, has also made its bid to host an event, as has Cleveland, Ohio.

However, a UK WrestleMania has been talked about for ages among fans. European crowds have always given WWE some of its loudest reactions, and a Showcase of the Immortals there could be special.

It’s also interesting that Rhodes, 40, hypothetically gave a timeline of five years for his career. In another recent interview, he claimed he’d likely be done wrestling within the next decade. So, if he wants to make an England WrestleMania happen, he’d better start working on it now.
