Bills’ Josh Allen makes statement on new mentality under Joe Brady
The Buffalo Bills have experienced tough playoff losses, and Josh Allen can be blamed for some of them. But it’s a new year, and Allen made a statement about the team’s new mentality under first-year head coach Joe Brady, according to a post on X by the Pat McAfee Show.
“The best thing that Joe has done is been himself,” Allen said. “He hasn’t changed his mindset, his personality. Team meetings feel like exactly how they have felt in the offensive room the last three years.”
Bills QB Josh Allen likes HC Joe Brady’s approach
Allen said there’s a genuineness about Brady. And that matters.
“He’s authentic,” Allen said. “He’s got the respect of everybody in this building. At the end of the day, people are going to have their opinions. But his mantra for us this year is put the ball down. We’re gonna figure it out. Come game time.”
And that has helped the Bills mesh as a team, Allen said, according to ESPN.
“This group from offense to defense is the tightest-knit group that I’ve been around really since I’ve entered the league,” Allen said. “The defense is meshing so well together. Just even when you walk in the dorm room or walk in the cafeteria, guys sitting down, talking, really getting to know each other. There’s just a lot of love on this team. And that’ll show on the field.”
Brady will be the youngest head coach in the NFL this season at age 36. But he’s enthusiastic and ready, according to apnews.com.
“This is Year 1 for everybody,” Brady said. “Like I told the team, we’ve never been here before, right? This training camp is going to be different than we’ve ever had. And that’s not to say anything that we’ve ever done was wrong. It’s just I need guys to understand that approach, and we can’t assume anything.”
