Could the Knicks’ deep playoff run affect Bruce Springsteen’s MSG tour stops?

We are just 10 days away from the first of Bruce Springsteen’s two 2026 tour stops at Madison Square Garden (2026) on his ongoing Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour, but will the New York Knicks’ playoff run affect those plans?

Currently, Springsteen and the E Street Band are slated to perform at Madison Square Garden on Monday, May 11, and Saturday, May 16. In between those shows, they will perform a show in Brooklyn, one borough over, on Thursday, May 14.

However, with the Knicks’ advancement in the playoffs, they will be playing more games at the Garden in May. Luckily, it doesn’t appear they will run interference with The Boss’ plans.

According to Spring-Nuts on X, formerly Twitter, the first four games, which are all guaranteed to take place, of the Knicks’ second round schedule take place on Monday, May 4; Wednesday, May 6; Friday, May 8; and Sunday, May 10.

If the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers to advance, the first two games of the series will be played in Boston since they were the higher seed. The third and fourth games would then be at Madison Square Garden. If the Sixers win, the first two games will be at the Garden and the second two will be in Philadelphia.

Assuming the series doesn’t end in a clean sweep, the fifth game will take place on Tuesday, May 12. A potential Game 6 will take place on May 14. Meanwhile, a potential Game 7 would take place on May 17.

That narrowly avoids any conflicts with Springsteen’s shows. The only ones affected would be anyone with tickets to his Brooklyn show and Game 6. Still, even if the game is held at the Garden, it won’t interfere with The Boss’ show in Brooklyn.

This should come as a huge sigh of relief for fans of The Boss. Just like that, Springsteen’s 2026 tour is already halfway over. The second half begins on Saturday, May 2, in Atlanta, Georgia.
