Brazil may be in trouble after latest Neymar World Cup injury update
It will be fair to say that Brazil did not get off to the best of starts in the FIFA World Cup campaign. Playing their first World Cup game with legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti in charge, Brazil looked tame for long periods in their 1-1 draw against Morocco barring a few bright sparks, with Vinicius Jr. finding the equalizer in the 32nd minute after Ismael Saibari had fired Morocco ahead in the 21st.
And well, all eyes might once again turn to Neymar, who arrived to the World Cup injured, and has now confirmed to be sitting out for their second clash against Haiti as well, per Fabrizio Romano. The Brazilian star returned to first team training just a day ago and the management are understood to be taking no risks.

Brazilian media has pointed out in recent days that the team is hoping to have him fit by the time the knockouts arrive, per ESPN. Neymar picked up the grade-two calf injury while playing for his boyhood club Santos on May 17, and had briefly joined the team during on-pitch training on Wednesday.
He even found the time to joke with his teammates, asking them if they missed him per ESPN, before returning for individual work with Brazil coaches. Neymar had also briefly trained alone on Wednesday, his first session since picking up the injury back in Brazil. Ancelotti had chosen to pick him in the final squad over some big names including Estevao and Joao Pedro, the latter scoring 15 times and assisting five goals in 35 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last campaign.
Ancelotti chose the experience and the ability of the 34-year-old Neymar over some arguably deserving names. Of course, the Brazilian is not shy of the big stage and always has the ability to produce special moments, something which can easily come in handy especially in the knockouts.
Regardless, fans will hope that the punt does pay off, but will still want to see stark improvement in the coming games, with or without Neymar.
