Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s wedding will be ‘bigger than the Met Gala’ after Stevie Nicks, Tim McGraw update

The stage built for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding will be put to use after enlisting friends Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw to perform.

Page Six reports that Nicks and McGraw will both perform at the celebration held at the Garden. Of course, Swift’s debut single was titled “Tim McGraw.”

They note that the first tease for this could have been when she went to the New York Knicks’ Game 4 win wearing a shirt that read “Stevie Knicks” on Wednesday, June 10.

An insider claimed that the wedding celebration is “going to be bigger than the Met Gala.” This is because of how many people Swift invited. Page Six notes that City Hall confirmed that a permit at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, was in place for over 1,000 people. There is also a permit for 100 people the day before. Sources have stated it’s a rehearsal dinner.

While the rumored wedding date is July 3, some have speculated that the nuptials already happened. A source told Page Six that they “think it’s possible it’s already happened.” If it did, the actual wedding likely was smaller than what they’re planning for Madison Square Garden.

Even if the event at the Garden is a celebration, it will be one of the most star-studded weddings ever. Page Six speculated that Kenny Chesney, Kesha, Dierks Bentley, and Paul McCartney could all be there. Other invited guests include Ed Sheeran, Este Haim, Danielle Haim, Alana Haim, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Margaret Qualley, Mariska Hargitay, Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, and Benny Blanco.

Swift and Kelce are getting married almost a full year after they announced their engagement in August 2025. It has almost been three years since they went public with their high-profile relationship.
