Rams getting 60 Minutes treatment has Tyler Dunne just asking questions

The Los Angeles Rams have been the talk of the 2026 NFL offseason, and rightfully so. Just last year, Matthew Stafford won his first MVP award while throwing to arguably the best receiving duo in the NFL with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. The team became clear Super Bowl contenders, but they fell just short, losing to the eventual champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.

The team then embarked on one of the busiest and most successful offseason revamps ever. Los Angeles traded for both Trent McDuffie and Myles Garrett, who are among the best cornerbacks and defensive ends in the league, respectively. Garrett is fresh off a Defensive Player of the Year-winning season in which he broke the sack record. The Rams also signed Jaylen Watson, who was McDuffie’s partner in crime with a Kansas City Chiefs team that had done a lot of winning.

Those moves motivated Aaron Donald to come out of retirement. The defensive tackle is one of three three-time DPOYs, and now, the Rams are the clear-cut championship favorites. The NFL’s current most popular team will have a 60 Minutes segment released on Sept. 13, but Tyler Dunne is wondering if all of this hype is truly worth it.

“Honestly curious,” Dunne tweeted. “Is demand for all things Rams this high? Stadium is raided by the other team’s fans weekly.”

Dunne covers the NFL and specializes in long-form content, and while his question is fair, the answer is yes. The NFL is a star-driven league, and the Rams have more star power than anyone else. Plus, keeping up with other leagues like the NBA when it comes to player movement isn’t easy, but the Rams’ offseason was one for the history books. Furthermore, this team just so happens to play in one of the biggest markets in sports. The Rams are a spectacle with an immense ceiling, and they deserve all of the attention that they are receiving.
