Giants’ Jameis Winston gets contract extension for being ‘best backup QB in NFL’
The New York Giants are making an investment in veteran quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston is getting a contract extension with New York, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
“The Giants and QB Jameis Winston have agreed to a 2-year, $13M extension, per sources,” Schultz posted to X, formerly Twitter.
New York is getting ready to play its first NFL season with John Harbaugh as the head coach. Harbaugh, as well as the Giants, appear to have full faith in Winston.
“Winston has become invaluable to the Giants’ QB room as a leader, a key part of Jaxson Dart’s development, and someone the organization views as the best backup QB in football,” Schultz added.
