Dave Portnoy blasts Oregon with wild Boise State-WMU take after Michigan win

Dave Portnoy has been running nothing but victory laps after the Michigan Wolverines’ miracle win against Western Michigan on Saturday night.

Portnoy is living in the moment, and you can’t blame him as a Michigan alum. Portnoy is even selling merch from the game.

His latest post, however, is funny because he issues a wild take about Oregon, Boise State, and Western Michigan.

“You know what is amazing with all this misguided Michigan hate. Oregon who is a trendy national title pick struggled with arguably a worse team in Boise than WMU. But they dont have the Block M so nobody cares.”

We shall find out very soon, as WMU and Boise State meet in Week 4 for a battle that could make this tweet resurface if Boise State wins.

The Boise State Broncos almost upset Oregon for the second consecutive year, whereas Michigan barely beat Western Michigan, and it took a Hail Mary to do so. Portnoy seems to believe that Boise State is not on Western Michigan’s level.

Oregon, which is expected to compete for a national title this season, is the program taking the hit in Portnoy’s post. The Ducks have a difficult schedule, taking on USC, Ohio State, Michigan, and Washington, all ranked teams. If Boise State defeats Western Michigan, and then Oregon takes down the Wolverines in Eugene, then Portnoy may want to take this post down, or it may get exposed.

However, if the opposite happens, Portnoy won’t stop running victory laps. If the rankings remain the same, the Ducks and Buckeyes will meet as the top two teams in the country on November 7.
