Jeremiyah Love injury update gives Chargers another problem
The Arizona Cardinals soon face a championship-driven Los Angeles Chargers team on Sunday. Yet the NFC West franchise and new head coach Mike LaFleur faced questions regarding the health of Jeremiyah Love. Cardinal fans will love this NFL Injury update, much to the chagrin of Bolts fans.
The rookie running back and first-ever day one NFL Draft choice by LaFleur learned Love’s fate Monday. They’re becoming more optimistic about Love’s health as each day passes.
“I feel good (about his chances),” LaFleur said via ESPN Cardinals insider Josh Weinfuss.
Love previously left the Las Vegas Raiders preseason game with a high ankle sprain. He sat out the final NFL Preseason contest. Weinfuss added one more update.
“LaFleur noted that Love was ‘moving around’ during the team’s walk-through Monday and overall is ‘progressing.’ The Cardinals will issue their first injury report Wednesday.
Cardinal fans will continue to hold their breath that Love will indeed take the field inside SoFi Stadium. Which also becomes a previous work homecoming for LaFleur.
He previously worked alongside Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams, with the Inglewood venue becoming the home Sunday office. LaFleur helped oversee the production of wide receiver Puka Nacua, quarterback Matthew Stafford and his 2025 Most Valuable Player campaign, plus worked with All-Pro Davante Adams. Although LaFleur never called plays, as McVay handled that aspect.
So now LaFleur earns his chance to run the entire show especially in his area of expertise. Yet he turned heads with the April selection of Love, bypassing going after a quarterback in the process. Now, Love could make his NFL debut soon after all.
