Parth Jindal backs KL Rahul amid KKR rumours, says Delhi Capitals have 'unfinished business'

Reports of KL Rahul potentially moving from Delhi Capitals (DC) to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had sparked plenty of speculation in the lead-up to the upcoming IPL season. However, recent developments from the franchise have seemingly put those rumours to rest, with DC indicating that the star batter remains part of their plans.

The speculation gained momentum after reports suggested that Rahul could be looking for a potential switch to KKR. The experienced batter has been an important member of the Delhi setup, and any move involving him would have been a major talking point ahead of the new season.

However, Delhi Capitals' latest social media post appears to have sent a different message. The franchise shared a 48-second montage featuring Rahul addressing the DC supporters, with the caption “keep the noise coming”.

During the video, Rahul can be heard saying “I'm home”, which could be interpreted as an indirect message regarding his future with the franchise. He also signed off with a message for the supporters, further highlighting his connection with the team.

"Keep the support going, keep the noise coming, and I look forward to seeing you all," he says towards the end of the 48-second clip.

Amid the growing speculation, Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has also publicly thrown his support behind Rahul. Jindal praised the batter's team-first approach and described him as one of the nicest people he knows.

More importantly, Jindal suggested that DC and Rahul still have unfinished business together, hinting that the franchise remains keen on continuing their association with the India star.

Rahul joined Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2025 IPL season and quickly established himself as an important part of the side. His ability to contribute at the top of the order while also taking responsibility behind the stumps has given the franchise additional flexibility.

With both Jindal's comments and DC's latest social media activity pointing towards Rahul's continued association with the franchise, the KKR rumours appear to have lost some momentum. Unless there is a late development, Rahul looks set to remain an important part of Delhi Capitals' plans going forward.
