Jalen Brunson has incredible moment of realization at Knicks Championship parade

On Thursday evening, the New York Knicks held their 2026 NBA championship parade through the streets of Manhattan in celebration of their recent NBA title. The Knicks knocked off the inexperienced San Antonio Spurs in five games in the NBA Finals and have been on a celebration tour around the city ever since.

After the parade itself, various members of the organization gave speeches to the crowd in attendance, including star point guard Jalen Brunson, who won the NBA Finals MVP award.

At one point, Brunson had a hilariously candid moment as he took in the moment.

Brunson had a rough start to the series against the Spurs but bounced back in epic fashion down the stretch, scoring 45 points in the Knicks’ Game 5 victory on the road to help put the series away and win the Finals MVP award in the process.

In the process, Brunson silenced his doubters and became one of the few small guards throughout history to be the clear number one on a championship team. New York now sits atop the NBA landscape for the first time in over five decades, having last won an NBA title back in the 1973 season.

The Knicks seem poised to bring back most of their championship core heading into next season, although there are some key players hitting free agency this summer, including both Landry Shamet and Mitchell Robinson, each of whom played a big role in the team’s title run.

For now, however, the Knicks’ minds seem to be rightfully on celebrating their championship win in proper fashion.

NBA free agency is slated to get underway on June 30.
