Hillary Duff celebrated Knicks’ championship at 2nd Madison Square Garden show

During her second of two shows at Madison Square Garden on her Lucky Me Tour, singer-songwriter and Lizzie McGuire actress Hillary Duff paid homage to the New York Knicks’ championship.

A video posted by Tyler Conroy on Instagram showed Duff’s homage to the title-winning team. She walked on stage with a New York championship shirt, saying, “Knicks in five.”

It was an absolutely iconic moment from the Madison Square Garden show. She performed a 22-song set from the World’s Most Famous Arena.

The Knicks won their first championship in 53 years in 2026. Jalen Brunson, who was named NBA Finals MVP, led the team to the promised land, averaging 32.6 points per game.

They beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games to win the title. The Spurs were led by Victor Wembanyama, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

New York was dominant throughout the postseason. They swept two playoff opponents — the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers — and only lost three games during the run. Madison Square Garden was home to some iconic moments, such as the Knicks’ 29-point comeback in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Hillary Duff’s 2026 tour stop at Knicks’ Madison Square Garden

Duff performed two shows at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 5 and 6. These are two of the biggest stops on the tour, which also includes concerts at iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater and the O2 in London.

The tour is in support of her sixth studio album, Luck… or Something. The album was released on Feb. 20, 2026, and was her first in over a decade. Her last album, Breath In. Breath Out., was released in June 2015.

Duff gained fame for her role in Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire. She starred in the show for three years from 2001 to 2004. She would then land roles in movies like Agent Cody Banks, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Agent Cody Banks.
