Brock Lesnar is retired from WWE, but he could return at WrestleMania 43 with a twist

For the foreseeable future, Brock Lesnar is retired, but some within WWE expect him at WrestleMania 43 in 2027 in some capacity.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that “high ranking officials” in WWE believe Lesnar will be involved at WrestleMania 43 “in some capacity.”

Perhaps it will be for a match, but another option is the “Beast Incarnate” headlining the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame class. He would presumably be present for his induction.

Either way, it doesn’t appear SummerSlam 2026 was the last time WWE fans will see Lesnar. He might have lost to Oba Femi in “Hell in a Cell,” but he might return to the fold one more time.

It sounds like there is a chance that the “Beast Incarnate” is back in April 2027 at WrestleMania 43. However, it remains to be seen whether or not he retires.

According to Lesnar, his body took a beating during his “Hell in a Cell” match. When he announced his retirement on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, he claimed to have spent the last two days in bed.

“I got run over by a Nigerian nightmare dump truck Saturday night,” Lesnar said of Femi. “It’s time. I’m 49, and I still want to be able to get around and move. But I’m grateful.”

In the same interview, Lesnar made it sound like he originally wanted to retire at WrestleMania 43 after his loss to the “Ruler,” saying, “It’s kinda weird, because when Oba Femi slammed me at WrestleMania, I was like, ‘I can’t do this again. I think I’m done.'”

He would ultimately decide to come back for two more matches against Femi. He won the second matchup at Clash in Italy on May 31, but he lost their rubber match at SummerSlam on Aug. 1. They got to close out the first night of SummerSlam 2026 in the main event.
