Jordan Spieth makes Wyndham Championship cut in most Jordan Spieth way possible
Jordan Spieth bounced back from a rough start to the 2026 Wyndham Championship to make the cut on Friday.
Going into the final hole, Spieth needed to make par to make the weekend. He did just that with a remarkable sequence, per Golfbet. After finding himself in the trees, Spieth got through and made par with a 24-foot putt, overcoming -190 odds.
One hole left. Par to likely make the cut.
With -190 odds to play the weekend, Jordan Spieth punches out of the trees and drains the do-or-die 24-foot par putt @WyndhamChamp.

Spieth is trying his hardest to bounce back after a prolonged difficult period on the PGA Tour. Last month, Spieth missed the cut at the 2026 Open Championship. He has not won on the PGA Tour since April 2022, when he won the RBC Heritage. Spieth defeated Patrick Cantlay in a sudden-death playoff.
Ever since then, Spieth has had to battle through injuries and regressive changes in his technique.
His history with the Wyndham Championship dates back to his junior years of the late 2000s. In 2008, Spieth finished 6th in the AJGA Wyndham Championship and fourth in 2009. During his rookie year on the PGA Tour, Spieth played the 2013 Wyndham Championship. He reached an epic playoff against Patrick Reed before losing in a two-hole battle.
Afterward, he took a prolonged hiatus from playing at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. He made his return in 2020, finishing in 72nd place at 2 under par. Then, after an additional five-year break, Spieth finished 31st at 7 under par.
Altogether, Spieth has won 13 PGA Tour victories and 3 major titles. He won the 2015 Masters and U.S. Open as well as the 2017 Open Championship. Additionally, he was the first golfer since Tiger Woods to win 10 PGA victories before the age of 24.
The Wyndham Championship goes until Aug. 9.
