Giants drop epic Jaxson Dart ‘May the 4th’ Star Wars edit

It should come as no surprise that May 4, dubbed “May the 4th day,” is celebrated by Star Wars fans like New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

The Giants posted the edit on Monday, May 4, 2026. It begins with a hooded Dart lifting the hood from over his eyes, and he eventually reveals a red lightsaber.

The edit is perfect, and Dart fits the part. He is a big Star Wars fan, so this was a fitting post for “May the 4th” day. Some fans weren’t 100% on board, as one noted, “You guys should have used blue for” the lightsaber color.

Jaxson Dart is heading into Year 2 with the Giants

Dart is heading into his second year in the NFL. He had a relatively good rookie year, passing for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Dart also rushed for 487 yards and nine touchdowns.

However, he did miss some games with a concussion. Dart was in and out of the lineup due to his concussion issues throughout the season.

He led the Giants to four wins in 2025. His time as the team’s starting quarterback started well, as Dart led the Giants to an upset win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Two weeks later, he led the Giants to another upset win, this time over the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hopefully, he is able to stay healthy in 2026. The Giants have high expectations after adding the likes of Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa in the NFL Draft.

The Giants selected Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. They had to trade back into the first after selecting Abdul Carter third overall to secure Dart.

During his collegiate career, Dart was named First-team All-SEC in 2024 for his efforts. While at Ole Miss, Dart broke some of Eli Manning’s passing records.
