The New England Patriots have gotten some good things out of their wide receiver room during training camp, and the latest person to put on a show was Kyle Williams. The receiver had himself a day in their preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles as he finished with two catches, 74 yards and a touchdown.

That may not sound like a lot, but when you look at the film, he could’ve had even more yards and one or two more touchdowns.

With Williams’ performance, he gives himself a good chance to make an impact on the team during the season, but that could make it hard for the receivers trying to make the team. The Patriots are going to have to make a decision on who to cut before the season starts, and there’s a good chance it might be one of the receivers.

The Patriots could also decide to make a trade, and Mack Hollins was considered a possible option by Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice.

“I think the player who makes more sense for the Eagles is Hollins, who the Eagles selected in the fourth round of the 2017 draft. The Eagles cut Hollins during his third year with the team, and he was picked up by Miami, where he played out the rest of the 2019 season, plus two more seasons. He then played one year each with the Raiders, Falcons, Bills, and Patriots,” Kempski wrote.

“Hollins’ Eagles tenure was a disappointment, but he has turned into a quality backup ‘dirty work’ receiver/core teams player,” Kempski continued.

The Eagles can say they have a good problem when they have an influx of good receivers such as Williams, Hollins, A.J. Brown, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and others, but that just means somebody won’t make the cut at the end of the day.
