Ex-Giants K Graham Gano drops ‘healthy’ truth bomb in emotional farewell post
After a six-year stint that was riddled with injuries with the New York Giants, kicker Graham Gano was released, and he has bade Big Blue Nation adieu with his latest social media post.
He took to social media on Thursday, June 25, 2026, to send his farewell to Giants fans. It sounds like he wasn’t healthy for his tenure with the team, though he doesn’t have any “regrets.”

“I wish I could have given you the healthy version of me for all 6 years[,] NY,” he wrote with a picture of the skyline. “Not a single regret though. I gave it all, everyday. Go Big Blue [bicep flexing emoji].”
Graham Gano’s six injury-filled years with the Giants before his release
At one point, Gano was viewed as one of the best kickers in the NFL. He was a one-time Pro Bowler with the Carolina Panthers, going 29-30 on field goals in 2017.
During the 2020 offseason, he signed a contract with the Giants. He had missed the previous season with an injury before being released in July 2020.
He peaked early with the Giants. In 2020, he made 31 of his 32 field goal attempts, and he was also 21-23 on extra points. However, things would be up and down throughout the rest of his tenure.
In 2022, the only year the Giants made the playoffs with him, he had another stellar year. Gano made 29 of 32 field goals and 32 of 34 extra points. He also played in all 17 games of the season.
Throughout his final three years with the Giants, he would only play in 23 of 51 possible games. He made 29-38 field goals, missing six in 2023, but was perfect on extra points in that stretch.
At 39 years old, it remains to be seen if he will continue playing. He was released by the Giants in March 2026 after failing a physical.
