WWE’s Finn Bálor believes this longtime Conor McGregor rival would excel in wrestling

Over the years, several pro-wrestlers have made the switch to UFC, while multiple UFC fighters have also transitioned to WWE. Recently, attending Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing event in Ireland, WWE superstar Finn Bálor appeared alongside Nina Drama, where he opened up and addressed names who would succeed in WWE.

In the past, several pro wrestlers and mixed martial artists have crossed over into each other’s sports. Some of the popular names who successfully made the jump are Ken Shamrock, Brock Lesnar, and Ronda Rousey. Speaking to Nina Drama, the former Universal Champion claimed that Conor McGregor’s iconic rival Max Holloway and McGregor himself would make good pro wrestlers.

“Good question, well… The UFC… I’m not entirely sure. I think Max (Holloway) might do well. He’s got the gift of the gab. Yeah, and he seems to, you know, he seems to. Conor (McGregor) certainly has the gift of the gab. That’s the one thing,” Bálor said.

The former Intercontinental Champion also opened up and named a few WWE Superstars who could do well in UFC. “Well, Brock Lesnar certainly held his own very, very well. He’s a (UFC) Heavyweight Champion, and another person who’s current Intercontinental Champion, Chad Gable. who’s a former Olympian, so he has that wrestling background.

“I think he could probably translate that into the cage. Shinsuke Nakamura has a lot of real fights under his belt, so I’m sure he’d be able to compete. A lot of the guys do jiu-jitsu. Baron Corbin does jiu-jitsu. He’s one of our heavier guys. I think he’d probably do well in the cage, too,” Bálor finished. (via Fightful)

While the above-named stars have achieved impeccable success in both wrestling and MMA, a few other names, including Matt Riddle, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and a few others, have also made a name for themselves in both sports.
