Dodgers’ Blake Snell gets official return date with a bobblehead twist

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the better teams in the league this season, and they could be even more dangerous after this key player returns. Blake Snell is set to return against the Atlanta Braves, according to Jack Harris of the California Post.

“Blake Snell will start for the Dodgers this Saturday, rather than make a final rehab outing, per source TBD what corresponding move will be — but could obviously have something to do with Tyler Glasnow’s back injury,” Harris wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Snell was rehabbing from shoulder inflammation that goes back to spring training. He was supposed to throw five innings on Saturday with Low-A Ontario, and the Dodgers were going to activate him in their road series against the Los Angeles Angels. It looks like the Dodgers have made the decision to bring him back sooner rather than later, and they’ll have him on a 75-pitch limit against the Braves.

This is good news for the Dodgers, and the hope is that he can get back to what he looked like before the shoulder inflammation.

The other player that the Dodgers are hoping to get back is Mookie Betts, who is recovering from an oblique injury. Dave Robert recently offered him an update on Betts, and it seems like there’s a good chance he’ll be back soon.

Dave Roberts joined #DodgerTalk last night. Roberts told us if all goes well for Mookie Betts this weekend he will return to #Dodgers lineup on Monday,” David Vassegh wrote on X.
