Derrick Henry reveals Lamar Jackson motivation for Super Bowl push

The Ravens are gearing up to start the 2026 season with a Super Bowl in mind. For years, the Ravens have been among the league’s best teams, including an appearance in the AFC Championship Game in the 2023 season. But injuries to Lamar Jackson and other key contributors kept them out of the playoffs last season.

Now the Ravens look to recalibrate themselves and take it mentally, the moment, as star running back Derrick Henry said in a statement released by the team via The Lounge podcast.

“It would be crazy for me to say I played with Lamar Jackson and we didn’t win no championships,” Henry said on “The Lounge” podcast. “I cannot have that. I do not want that to be a thing. We’ve got to do it.

He added, “I want to win a Super Bowl. That’s a big motivation. I just want to be able to feel that feeling. I’m tired of watching. Every year, I’m tired of being at home on the couch watching. I want to be a part of it. That’s what’s motivating me right now. I’m going to keep going until we get to that point. We have the 2026 season to get that accomplished.”

Henry joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2024, and the team has yet to reach the heights it reached when it faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 AFC Championship. But with a new coaching staff led by Jesse Mitchell and a renewed sense of urgency to win a Super Bowl, the Ravens look to start the new season with success.
