Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo grabs attention with ‘minding our business’ post

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo garnered attention with what he said in a recent post he made on social media.

Antetokounmpo completed the 13th season of his career in the NBA with the Bucks. While he has reached the mountaintop as one of the best players in the league by winning the championship in 2021, recent years have been underwhelming for him and the franchise as rumors surround him regarding his future.

Antetokounmpo went through multiple injuries throughout the 2025-26 campaign, seeing him ineligible for end-of-season awards after missing too many games. This presents an offseason where he needs to focus on improving his health and avoiding tendencies that would cause these injuries to pop up again.

With Milwaukee missing the playoffs, this gives Antetokounmpo more time to concentrate on these objectives. In the meantime, he made his mindset very clear after making a post on Instagram.

“Another day getting better and minding our business 😃🍪🤎,” Antetokounmpo wrote in the post.

What lies ahead for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo remains with the Bucks until the end of the 2027-28 season, especially if he opts into his player option. This gives Milwaukee enough time to figure out if he wishes to stay long term or move on to the next chapter of his NBA career.

Antetokounmpo only took part in 36 games this season as injuries hampered his season, ultimately affecting Milwaukee’s playoff hopes as well. He averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. He produced shooting splits of 62.4% from the field, including 33.3% from beyond the arc, and 65% from the free-throw line.

Milwaukee ended the2025-26 campaign with a 32-50 record, finishing at 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They were above the Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets while being under the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets. This marks the first time they missed the playoffs since 2016, ending a streak of nine straight playoff appearances.
