Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. spotted at Knicks’ NBA Finals celebration

With the New York Yankees completing the series against the Toronto Blue Jays, looking to keep the winning ways going, the team is looking to follow in the footsteps of its NBA counterpart, the New York Knicks. As part of the Yankees’ core features Jazz Chisholm Jr., he was seen recently celebrating with the Knicks after the team won its first NBA title in 53 years.

There is no doubt about pandemonium for New York after the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games to capture the NBA championship for the first time since 1973. Chisholm was part of the celebration as a photo was seen with him and the basketball team on Sunday night.

Another person on the Yankees who was happy for the Knicks was manager Aaron Boone, who spoke about the resilience the team had throughout the season.

“It’s just a great example of a team that’s certainly faced more than their share of adversity and questions and all that,” Boone said, via New York Daily News. “I think their mental toughness and championship mettle just ended up winning the day.”

Part of the Knicks’ impressive run was led by star Jalen Brunson, who scored a whopping 46 points in Game 5 to close out the series, but it was his personality that really sold Boone.

“I loved him,” Boone said. “Genuine guy. It was really fun talking to him. I became a fan on the spot.”

“I’ve had the fortune of meeting a handful of those guys over the last few years, so I’m really happy for them,” Boone continued. “Just to see that team, the way they came together, the amazing run they went on in the postseason, that team will be immortalized. So I’m just excited for them, and I’m obviously excited for a lot of the people in New York. That’s been a long time coming.”

At any rate, Chisholm, Boone, and the rest of the Yankees look to keep the party going and bring New York another championship in the form of a World Series.
