With the upcoming WWE SummerSlam 2026 match card finalized, it’s time to predict the winners of Night 2, which will be headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for likely the last time.

That isn’t the only marquee match, though. An interim Women’s Champion will be named as Rhea Ripley recovers from a torn meniscus, and Danhausen will face off with Dominik Mysterio in a “Human Monies on a Pole” match. Chad Gable will also have a chance to finally capture the Intercontinental Championship when he faces Penta.

Below is the full match card for Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2026, which takes place on Sunday, Aug. 2. Note: The predicted winners are bolded.

Roman Reigns must exorcise his demons from The Shield against Seth Rollins

The match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

If Reigns has a Kryptonite, it is undoubtedly Rollins, his former Shield stablemate. For years, Rollins has tormented Reigns, almost always getting the upper hand in their matchups.

It’s time for the “Tribal Chief” to finally assert his dominance. He has taken enough losses to the “Visionary,” and if WWE wants his current World Heavyweight Championship reign to have maximum impact, he has to beat guys like Rollins.

He should do it alone. The Bloodline drama is taking place the night before, potentially leaving the door open for interference during Night 2. However, Reigns has been winning on his own during this title reign, so that should continue in the bookend to his longstanding feud with Rollins.

Is there a chance The Rock returns afterward? The live-action Moana movie flopping could open up that possibility, and there have seemingly been hints about a “Final Boss” return, but until it happens, take the rumors with a grain of salt.

If there were ever a chance to finally do The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, this is it. Maybe the stars have finally aligned for them to have the long-awaited match. Before that, though, Reigns must beat Rollins clean to keep his title reign going.

Final prediction: Roman Reigns retains the World Heavyweight Championship.

Could Chelsea Green finally become a world champion?

The match: Five-way ladder match to determine the interim Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green vs. Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. TBD.

For all the talk there was about a glass ceiling holding Chelsea Green down, WWE has a prime opportunity to give her the ball to run with in a risk-free manner.

The five-way ladder match to determine an interim Women’s Champion in Ripley’s absence is full of former world champions like Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton.

More than likely, WWE will go with a tried-and-true name like one of the former world champions. But what if this is finally Green’s moment?

At the very least, Green will climb a ladder and touch the belts. Winning an interim world championship is a lot less of a commitment than giving her Money in the Bank, so WWE should do it. Green should win and enter into a new phase for her character.

Final prediction: Chelsea Green becomes the interim Women’s Champion.

Will WWE’s Danhausen retain his human monies?

The match: Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio in a “Human Monies on a Poll” match

On the surface, Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio in a “Human Monies on a Poll” match seems like an inconsequential opportunity for a bathroom break.

However, thanks to Danhausen and Mysterio’s charisma, they’ve made something interesting out of an otherwise mundane feud, embracing the ridiculousness of it all.

This will not be a five-star match in terms of in-ring work. However, it should be a bonkers watch full of Judgment Day shenanigans and interference from the Minihausens.

Final prediction: Dominik Mysterio defeats Danhausen.

Chad Gable gets his moment

The match: Penta (c) vs. Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship.

For years, Chad Gable has been pursuing the Intercontinental Championship. It looked like he was going to dethrone Gunther during his 666-day reign at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024, but that honor went to Sami Zayn instead.

Over time, Gable would become fixated on Luchadors, causing him to begin the El Grande Americano gimmick that Ludwig Kaiser has since overtaken.

If WWE is ever going to pull the trigger on Gable, now is the time. A win at SummerSlam would be poetic for several reasons. For one, he’d be facing one of the Luchadors that sent him down his El Grande Americano spiral, Penta. SummerSlam is also being held in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Will Sami Zayn get another shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship?

The match: Sami Zayn vs. Finn Bálor to determine the No.1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

It was refreshing to see Sami Zayn finally win a world title at Night of Champions. He has earned it, and he was rewarded for years of excellent work. Now, he faces Finn Bálor, who has recently regained his mojo, in a No.1 contendership matchup.

Bálor should win, as he too has waited his turn for a world title reign. His last one was in 2016, shortly after his main roster call-up. He had to vacate the Universal Championship less than a day later due to an injury.

There’s no guarantee that Bálor beats CM Punk or Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship, but it’d be nice to see him compete for it again as he inches his way into the main event scene. He had a couple of banger matches with Punk earlier in the year. Facing Punk again with actual stakes would be huge.

Final prediction: Finn Bálor becomes the No.1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Trick Williams vs. Baron Corbin is missing a major component

The match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin for the United States Championship.

Within a month of his return to WWE, Baron Corbin is already vying for titles. There’s nothing wrong with having the reliable Corbin face an up-and-coming star like Trick Williams, who is in his first United States Championship reign.

However, the problem is that Carmelo Hayes, who has a long history with Williams dating back to NXT, was pushed aside in favor of Corbin.

Perhaps WWE will rectify this and add Hayes to the match. As it stands, Williams should undoubtedly win this match. His reign hasn’t been long enough to drop it. If Hayes is added to the match, he could win and set up a feud with Williams. For now, Williams is the safe pick.

Final prediction: Trick Williams retains the United States Championship.
