UFC icon Conor McGregor’s major Croke Park ‘final fight’ teased

Recently, Conor McGregor celebrated the retirement of soccer and boxing legend Katie Taylor. The 40-year-old Taylor recently fought her last match at the iconic Croke Park. McGregor addressed Taylor’s retirement on his social media and expressed his interest in having his final match there as well.

Now fresh off Taylor’s historic retirement fight, McGregor could also be set for his own stunning Croke Park homecoming. According to BKFC [Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship] owner David Feldman, the promotion could be eyeing a monumental return for McGregor at the Irish venue. McGregor, himself a part-owner of BKFC, has just one fight left in his UFC contract, which he is expected to fight in 2027.

Returning to the UFC after a five-year break at UFC 329 in Jul. 2026, the 38-year-old faced Max Holloway. However, his comeback was cut short by a knee injury sustained mere seconds into the fight. McGregor later underwent ACL surgery and is currently recovering from it.

Feldman had previously teased McGregor’s BKFC comeback following the conclusion of his UFC career. Now, speaking to Mirror Fighting, Feldman teased McGregor’s final fight at Croke Park. “Conor [McGregor] has one fight left with the UFC and then let’s see what happens but I would love to do Conor in his first BKFC fight at Croke park in front of 83,000!”

However, neither McGregor’s BKFC comeback is confirmed nor is his fight at Croke Park. As of now, these are all teases and speculation. Still recovering from his ACL surgery, there is no confirmed timeline for McGregor’s return.
