The radical nutritional change Robert Saleh has already made for Titans
The Tennessee Titans are currently taking part in OTAs as they gear up for the upcoming 2026 season. It’s been an eventful offseason for the Titans, headlined by the hiring of Robert Saleh from the San Francisco 49ers to be their new head coach.
Recently, Saleh spoke on a key change he implemented in the team’s facility regarding the food that is served there.
“One of the first things I think that we did here is get rid of all of the seed oils in the building, which I think the players appreciate. Ms. Amy has allowed us to attack the budget and get the players a better variety… I’ve been in six different buildings, and I’d put this staff up there with the best of them. The product they put out in the cafeteria daily is outstanding,” said Saleh, per Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, formerly Twitter.
While there is no consensus in the scientific community as to whether eliminating seed oils is actually a beneficial thing, clearly, Saleh and the Titans are on board with what the team’s nutritional staff has been serving them up.
It will take a lot more than just an altered diet to get this Titans team back into contention in the AFC after a few years spent toward the bottom of the conference. Tennessee is hoping to continue to build around former number one overall pick Cam Ward, who showed some flashes of stardom during his rookie year after being selected out of Miami.
In any case, the Titans’ 2026 season is slated to get underway in early September with a game against Saleh’s former team, the New York Jets.
