Suns-Thunder injury report for regular-season finale that doesn’t matter at all

With the final day of the regular season amongst us, there are some teams that are still playing for playoff seeding, while others who already know where they’ll finish. The Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder are in the latter category as they face off against each other in Game 82, and they’ll be staying still regardless of what happens throughout the day.

The Thunder have the No. 1 seed locked up, and the Suns will be the No. 7 seed as they host a Play-In Tournament game.

Both teams have a lot of players on the injury report, and it’s no surprise since this game doesn’t matter at all to either. Nonetheless, a game still has to be played.

Here is the injury status of both teams heading into the final game.

Suns’ injury status vs. Thunder

Devin Booker (right ankle injury management), Dillon Brooks (left 2nd metacarpal injury management), Grayson Allen (left hamstring soreness) and Royce O’Neal (left knee injury management) have been ruled out for the game against the Suns.

Collin Gillespie (right shoulder contusion), Jordan Goodwin (left ankle sprain), Jalen Green (right knee soreness), Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury management) and Mark Williams (left foot injury management) are listed as questionable.

It’s no surprise that most of the starting rotation has been ruled out already.

Thunder’s injury status vs. Suns

Alex Carusa (rest), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (right oblique injury management), Isaiah Hartenstein (left soleus injury management), Chet Holmgren (low back spasms), Isaiah Joe (left knee soreness), Ajay Mitchell (left ankle injury management), Cason Wallace (left great toe soreness), Jalen Williams (right hamstring injury management) and Jaylin Williams (right Achilles tendinitis) have been ruled out for the matchup.

The Thunder will also be resting all of their starters except for Lu Dort, who was not listed on the report.
