Raheem Sterling’s career at a glance

Sterling is currently a free agent after he departed Dutch club Feyenoord at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 31-year-old made just eight appearances for Feyenoord but registered just one assist.

Sterling moved to the Eredivisie outfit after Chelsea terminated his contract last January, a whopping 18 months ahead of schedule.

Prior to Sterling’s exit, he had not featured for the Blues since May 2024 having spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Arsenal.

Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City for £50m in the summer of 2022 but struggled to live up to his price tag, registering just 19 goals and 15 assists in 81 games for the west London side.

His attacking output was a marked decline from the numbers he put up throughout his time at City, where he won four Premier League titles, five Carabao Cups and the FA Cup.

During his seven-year stay at the Etihad, Sterling scored 131 goals and provided 87 assists in 339 appearances across all competitions.

Sterling’s best campaign for City came in the 2018/19 season, registering 27 goal contributions in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old’s exploits that season earned him the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year award, the PFA Young Player of the Year award and a spot in the PFA’s Premier League Team of the Year.
