Stephon Castle gets real on his NBA 2K27 ratings

LOS ANGELES — NBA 2K27 is set to release this week, which means gamers everywhere will be locked into their game consoles trying to start their MyCareer, create the best MyPlayer, or find the best MyTeam combination. For San Antonio Spurs star Stephon Castle, he’s already thinking about getting his rating up.

NBA 2K ratings are one of the most controversial debates when it comes to the release of the video game. This year, the highest ranked player is actually a three-way tie at 97-overall between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, and Nikola Jokic. Directly below them is another three-way tie for second-best at 96-overall between Luka doncic, Jalen Brunson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Castle was in attendance for NBA 2K27 Community Day at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, where he spoke with ClutchPoints about a number of things, including his rating in the all new video game.

“Yeah, I saw my ratings,” Castle said. “I like my overall. I think 87 for year three is pretty solid. I mean, they fixed my signature moves. I could see that my sigs last year was terrible. But I could dribble a little bit now. I mean, yeah, I feel there’s a couple ratings that I wish I could improve on. Probably the obvious ones, like my vertical, driving dunk. I thought my speed was a little low. But that’s probably just me.”

At an 87 overall, Castle is tied for the 27th highest rating in the league, tied with players like Jalen Johnson, Pascal Siakam, Kyrie Irving, and Bam Adebayo.

The Spurs are going to be entering this 2026-27 season looking to avenge their NBA Finals loss against the New York Knicks this summer.
