Ascot

• 1.45: Deedaydiva 15/2 each-way (1pt)

Lingfield

• 1.58: Maho Bay 13/8 (1pt)
• 2.40: Royal Velvet 5/2 (1pt)

Deedaydiva

Having tipped Esna last weekend and that not going according to plan, I’m going to retain the faith in that horse’s form behind Diamond Necklace.

Deedaydiva beat Esna two starts ago and warrants another look here in a wide open contest fronted by two fillies having to carry 13lb more than the tip due to being four-years-old.

Maho Bay

Isaac Newton hasn’t really got close enough in his last three starts over 1m+ to really suggest this longer trip is going to see him beat his rivals here.

Maho Bay has won his two starts over 1m3f and 1m2f by impressive distances and really could be anything.

As such he’s a strong favourite but not firmly backed in, yet.

Royal Velvet

Really impressive win to land the 18-runner Racing At Betway Handicap last month at Newmarket over 7f, winning by nearly three lengths in the end.

That rise of 8lb was certainly warranted but still shouldn’t dissuade this horse from continuing to rise in the weights based on that run and previous efforts over 7f.
