Roman Kopylov vs. Marco Tulio prediction, odds, pick for UFC 328
It’s time for another UFC 328 prediction and pick as the Early Prelims will draw to a close with this bout in the Middleweight (185) Division. Russia’s Roman Kopylov will take on Brazil’s Marco Tulio in an exciting tilt between two dynamic strikers. Check our UFC odds series for the Kopylov-Tulio prediction and pick.
Roman Kopylov (14-5) has gone 6-5 inside the UFC since 2019. After back-to-back wins over Cesar Almeida and Chris Curtis, he’s dropped consecutive bouts to Paulo Costa and Gregory Rodrigues and hopes to get back in the win column on Saturday. Kopylov stands six feet tall with a 75-inch reach.
Marco Tulio (14-2) has gone 2-1 since making his UFC debut last year, taking out Ihor Potieria and Tresean Gore via knockout following two successful Dana White Contender Series fights. He’ll hope to bounce back from his first promotional loss as the betting favorite here. Tulio stands six feet tall with a 74.5-inch reach.

Why Roman Kopylov Will Win
- Last Fight: (L) Gregory Rodrigues – U DEC
- Last 5: 2-3
- Finishes: 12 KO/TKO
Roman Kopylov is searching for continuity as he’s fallen flat via decision during his last two bouts. The losses come following a viral head kick knockout of Chris Curtis that earned them ‘Fight of the Night,’ so his last two bouts shouldn’t be weighed too heavily considering they came against top-flight competition. Kopylov has yet to be knocked out in his career and after facing two killers like Costa and Rodrigues, it’s not likely that Marco Tulio will be the first fighter to put him away early with his strikes.
Roman Kopylov is a very fundamental kickboxer and uses all the weapons at his disposal when engaging with opponents. Not only is he very strong with his boxing, but he’s very active in using his kicks, elbows, and knees to keep opponents on their toes. He’s not afraid to trade shots thanks to the confidence in his chin, so he’ll be welcoming any heated exchanges in the center of the octagon against Tulio.
Kopylov should be able to keep this fight standing behind a 88% career takedown defense, but it’s not likely that his opponent will look to change levels too much as he’ll be counting on a knockout. If Kopylov can control the dance and keep Tulio retreating into the fence with his striking, he should be able to gain an advantage late into this fight.
Why Marco Tulio Will Win
- Last Fight: (L) Christian Leroy Duncan – TKO (spinning backfist, R2)
- Last 5: 4-1
- Finishes: 10 KO/TKO, 1 SUB
Marco Tulio suffered his first promotional loss at the hands of Christian Leroy Duncan back in November 2025, giving himself ample time to recover following the knockout loss. Duncan was simply the stronger opponent and Tulio wasn’t able to overcome underdog betting odds, but he comes into this fight the betting favorite thanks to his 10-fight winning streak prior to the loss. He stands to raise his stock significantly if he’s able to put away a tested veteran with a lengthy resume of opponents.
Tulio is a vicious striker with constant intentions to end the fight with one shot. He’s very unorthodox in his use of striking angles and does a good job moving his head off the center line during exchanges. He’s slightly more active (6.69 significant strikes per min.) than Kopylov and has been landing at a 58% clip, so expect his strikes to make an impact as he stands to slow the forward pressure of his opponent.
Tulio will have to gain Kopylov’s respect early if he wants any sort of success throughout this one. Kopylov is extremely durable and will keep advancing forward unless he’s met with stern resistance from Tulio. Watch for Tulio to capitalize on the counter striking as he’ll look to use Kopylov’s aggression against him.
Final Roman Kopylov-Marco Tulio Prediction & Pick
This fight has all the makings of an entertaining kickboxing match as both fighters will look to stand and strike while testing each other on the feet. Tulio is slightly better at moving around strikes and keeping himself mobile, while Kopylov sports the more durable chin and will fight behind a very aggressive style.
Kopylov’s experience against Paulo Costa and Gregory Rodrigues over his last two fights should give him the confidence to march forward against Tulio and fight his style of fight. He’s extremely skilled and won’t be deterred unless Tulio is able to hurt him early and gain his respect.
I think this could be a solid spot for Roman Kopylov as the underdog considering he’s been undervalued against rising prospects in the past. We’ll side with Kopylov as he gets back in the win column during this one.
Final Roman Kopylov-Marco Tulio Prediction & Pick: Roman Kopylov (+154); UNDER 2.5 Rounds (-130)
