Pistons legends Rip Hamilton, Ben Wallace attend Game 2 vs. Magic

The Detroit Pistons enter Game 2 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Wednesday with a clear mission to rebound from their 112-101 Game 1 loss.

And among the thousands in attendance to show support for the Pistons are none other than Detroit basketball legends Ben Wallace and Rip Hamilton,

Of course, Wallace and Hamilton both know what it takes to win in the NBA. They played major roles on the Pistons’ 2003-04 squad that upset the star-studded Los Angeles Lakers in the 2004 NBA Finals. Together, Wallace and Hamilton also reached the Eastern Conference Finals consecutive times.

This time around, they are cheering for a Pistons team widely regarded as the favorite to represent the Eastern Conference in the 2025 NBA Finals. But first, Detroit has to take care of business against the pesky and dangerous Magic.

The Pistons and the Magic ended the first half tied at 46-46, with each team not letting the other break away. This is trending to be a wild finish in Motor Town, with Hamilton and Wallace perhaps wishing they still had their young legs to help the Pistons out on the floor.

The two Pistons legends did not finish their playing careers with Detroit, but they will always come back to the city to support the team with which they had so much success.

Apart from Wallace and Hamilton, the 2026 NCAA basketball champions, the Michigan Wolverines, are also in attendance as the Pistons look to tie the series at 1-1 before hitting the road for Games 3 and 4 at the Kia Center in Orlando.
