“Really special. It was a great feeling to be able to tie the game up right there,” Crawford said. “I wish we would have won, but definitely a feeling that in a moment I’ll remember forever.”

Crawford admitted he was not completely sure the ball would clear the wall at first. He thought he might need to sprint for extra bases instead.

“I wasn’t sure, honestly,” Crawford said. “I’ve hit a few off the wall, so I was kind of like, I was expecting to get ready to get on my horse, but it felt good to see it go over.”

The young outfielder also confirmed he secured the baseball afterward.

“Yes, I did. Yeah, I got it,” Crawford said. “Just a bat, signed it, took a couple pictures, so they’re really, really cool people.”
