Greg Olson gives former Panthers teammate Luke Keuchely ultimate praise ahead of Hall of Fame induction

With former Carolina Panthers star Luke Kuechly being inducted into the Hall of Fame, there is no denying that the linebacker is among the best of the 21st century. As Kuechly enjoys his Hall of Fame induction for his time with the Panthers, his former teammate Greg Olson would speak highly of him,

Besides being teammates on Carolina from 2012 to 2019, the two are also coaches at Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, North Carolina, where Olson is the head coach, and Keuchely is the defensive coordinator.

Olson would speak to the NFL NBC broadcast during the Hall of Fame game on Thursday, where the Panthers beat the Arizona Cardinals, 33-30, emphasizing Keuchely’s impact on everybody.

“But the amount of people back home that love this guy and the impact that he’s made on my family, our kids, the families around Charlotte. We could do an entire broadcast on who this guy is, and it would have nothing to do with playing football,” Olson said. “It would take like an act of God to cancel practice or Luke getting in the Hall of Fame. So Luke getting in the Hall of Fame, we canceled practice this morning so everyone can travel here, and I’m not happy about it. But if there’s one guy that will cancel practice for it, it’s him.”

Luke Keuchely’s time with the Panthers 

Keuchely has no doubt made his impact on the league and the Panthers’ organization in his time from 2012 to 2019, as he was drafted with the ninth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, coming out of Boston College. Winning Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, earning five first-team All-Pro selections, and recording over 1,000 total tackles, his time in the NFL was memorable.

Coaching with Olson has been a delight for the former tight end, as he expresses a hard time telling Keuchely what to do.

“It makes me feel a little uncomfortable…It’s hard to tell him what to do,” Olson said.

At any rate, Keuchely’s career will be remembered forever, now that he will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
