NFL legend launches tournament in new sport with world’s 50 best pros and $3.25m prize pool
Randy Moss is taking his next venture in his post-NFL life.
Moss remains one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

He most notably played for the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots, amassing 982 catches for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns.
It’s been 15 years since Moss stepped away from the league, and he has stayed busy, joining ESPN in 2016.
He appears on ‘Sunday NFL Countdown’ and ‘Monday Night Countdown’, and also serves as an assistant for Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte.
But, he is now swapping the football field for the fishing boat, marking a new step in his post-NFL career.
On Monday, Moss announced that he is launching ‘Chasing 10 with Randy Moss’ a YouTube fishing Show in partnership with World Bass Enterprises (WBE).
Moss will also serve as an ambassador for the WBE’s ‘The Champions’ – a bass fishing event in Nashville that carries a prize pool of $3.25 million – the largest in history.
“Bass fishing has always been a big part of my life and fuels my competitive fire in retirement,” Moss said in a statement, via Fox News.
“As I launch Chasing 10 and spend more time on the water, partnering with WBE was an easy choice.
“From day one I’ve been impressed with [Brian Bird]’s leadership and vision. I can’t wait for The Champions tournament this fall in Nashville.”
Moss would go on to credit fishing as a “therapist” during his recovery from his 2024 cancer battle.

“Did I need a therapist after retiring from football? Maybe,” Moss continued.
“But I use bass fishing and mother nature as my therapist. My wife lets me get out two to three times a week.”
The Champions tournament is scheduled to occur between October 28-November 1 on Old Hickory Lake at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersville, Tennessee.
It will feature the top 50 anglers from the sport’s two biggest professional circuits.
As for Moss’ new show, the premise is based on the former superstar’s quest to land a 10-pound bass, something which is considered legendary amongst fishermen.
The show will also feature celebrity guests from across the sports and entertainment world, including former Vikings teammate Cris Carter, Jake Reed and Duante Culpepper.

Moss has just one rule for his new show.
“You get on a boat, have fun, and we’re not thinking about any of the negativity, no controversy on my boat.”
