NBA Free Agency 2026: Tracking every new contract agreement
Will LeBron James consider leaving the Los Angeles Lakers? What will happen in restricted free agency for Jalen Duren, Walker Kessler, Peyton Watson, Bennedict Mathurin, and others? It is officially time for NBA free agency now that the draft has come and gone, and while the market is not as strong compared to previous years, plenty of teams are searching for upgrades to make a championship push.
There have already been a multitude of deals agreed upon before the official free agency window opens on June 30 at 6 p.m. ET. Austin Reaves is returning to the Lakers on a four-year max contract, Trae Young agreed to a four-year, $212 million deal to stay with the Washington Wizards, and Isaiah Hartenstein recently agreed to a three-year, $75 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Ayo Dosunmu, CJ McCollum, Coby White, Jose Alvarado, and Al Horford are among the other reported deals for players remaining with their current teams.
Free agency officially begins on June 30, but there has already been some action. Between contract extensions and free agency deals being agreed upon, all of this summer’s signings that you need to know will be updated below LIVE as they are reported.
June 27
- Ron Harper Jr. is remaining with the Boston Celtics on a three-year, $9 million contract.
June 26
- Jose Alvarado wants to run the Knicks’ championship back after signing a three-year, $14 million contract.
- The Minnesota Timberwolves and guard Jaylen Clark have agreed to a new three-year, $10 million contract.
- Isaiah Hartenstein isn’t leaving the Thunder, agreeing to a new three-year, $75 million contract.
June 25
- Al Horford is not retiring or leaving the Golden State Warriors just yet after agreeing to a new two-year, $14 million contract. Horford will have a trade kicker on his new deal, but it’s unknown yet whether the Warriors will add a player option to the second year.
- Amid talk of a potential sign-and-trade, Mark Williams is staying with the Suns on a new three-year, $38 million contract.
- In the immediate aftermath of trading LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Charlotte Hornets are signing Coby White to a new three-year, $74 million contract to be the team’s starting point guard.
June 24
- Austin Reaves agreed to the most historic contract for an undrafted player in NBA history: a four-year, $185 million max contract with the Lakers.
June 23
- Ayo Dosunmu’s future is secured with the Timberwolves after agreeing to a new five-year, $112 million contract.
June 22
- The New York Knicks are keeping Mohamed Diawara with a new multi-year contract worth approximately $10 million. Diawara averaged 3.6 points per game and shot 36.9 percent from 3-point range during his rookie season.
- Upon declining his $49 million player option, Trae Young and the Wizards have agreed to a four-year, $212 million max contract.
June 21
- CJ McCollum and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a new one-year, $21 million contract that contains a 15% trade kicker. McCollum is immediately eligible to be traded with this new deal.
- The Phoenix Suns are keeping Jordan Goodwin on a new three-year, $19 million contract.
June 20
- Collin Gillespie’s future is locked in with the Suns after signing a four-year, $48 million contract in free agency.
